For those who might not know:

"AE" means bronze/copper (for "aes")
"AR" means silver (for "argentum")
"AU" or "AV" means gold (for "aurum")

Notice how the seated "Roma" on page 2 is rather like the seated Brittania on the reverse side of British large pennies through 1967. Also it kind of reminds me of our own trade dollar.
