grade: 60
toning: fugly
luster: so-so
eye appeal: yuck

I dont know... I think it grades MS62, but I dont know much about Morgans anyways.

Hey, Thanks for the get back. So far, I'm with you. I consider Morgans the most ugly save for moderns. It's the mintmark I'm asking about. Gonna take another pic.

it looks like the mint mark might be filled? I dont happen to have an 1878 S, but it looks like the tyical mint mark for that series. The toning is not too bad, I have a couple dollars with thatr type of toning. kind of a light russet. Maybe if we had a closer look at the mark. Does it look like it might be repunched drwstr?
