What happened here?

What would have caused this IHC not to have denticals on the obverse and just a hint of them on the lower right of the reverse? Tryed to get a photo of the entire coin but can't get it clear enough.

Severe die wear. Since the denticles are on the outside of the design, the part that suffers the most from die wear, they would wear off the die before most of the rest of the design would become illegible.
