My envolvement with quarters is putting together the state sets for the greatgrand kids and that is about it. However, with all the hoorah going on about the doubled die reverses that can be found on this quarter, I decided to check the ones I have and found this.
Now I can buy that condo in Hawaii that my wife wants and also have enough left over to buy that hunting lodge in Minnesota so I can shoot that bird that is on that quarter - - - - wait a minute, can't do that, the AMERICAN LOON is protected, danging. Oh well, maybe a moose or two then, LOL.
You all have a good one,

Congrats on your find BJ. I wanted to check all of the Minnesota quarters I had to see if I could get lucky and find one of the DDRs, but after I checked all two of them, I was left disappointed. Maybe after a stay at your new hunting lodge I can get over my disappointment??

BJ after Bob checks out of your new Lodge can I make a reservation for a few days. Sure would be nice to get away from all these HOT days here in Florida.

I was looking at my 2005 mint set and I have one of the Philadelphia issue Minnesota DDR quarters.

Good find. Is it DDR #4?
I think that is one of the few Minnesota DDRs that will really hold its own. It truly looks like an extra tree (not just a bump or two) and it is in the limited issue Satin Finish. There is currently a PCGS graded MS69 MN DDR#4 selling on eBay for just under $1000. It has one day left and it will be interesting to see where it ends up.
Update: The PCGS graded MS69 MN DDR#4 eventually sold for a whopping $1325.00! But only time will tell if that was a good deal or not. From my experience having lots of Satin Finish nickels graded, MS69 is not achieved often. I'd bet the same is true for the SF quarters.
