BankRolls,

After viewing the coin the "expert's" here on the forum (with past experience in this) like to have a top view of the date and MM. Just looking at the 40 S it does appear to be the 1940S-1MM-002 or 1940S-1MM-005. Some forum member's to a overlay of your coin vs. the coin's pictured on the website just to verify what it is or isn't. You can go thru my post's (since I'm some what a newbee also) and see what I have asked since January.

Just my thought's.

David

The two 1944-D are RPMs, however, I do question the 1940-S. That may be MDD rather than a RPM, however, examination of that coin may prove that it is.

Looks like:
1944D-1MM-008
1944D-1MM-002
A machine doubled MM on the last one.

Hi BJ & Richard,

I have to boil the rest of the coins,
to continue searching.
(I have my own copper pot now! LOL)

I did find one more, on a 53-D,
but haven't taken photos of it yet.
Maybe I'll get to that tonight Very Happy

It looks like them. I didn't turn them over and do an overlay, but that is what they appeared to me.

Been off line for a time. My old computer modem was giving me troubles, so I bought a new computer. Hooked it up and had the same intemittent problems. Finally got on line today. the new computer has the "Vista" system in it. Runs about 1/3 the speed of my antique computer. Not real happy with this program. Hope I can speed it up somehow. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad You open a program and go get something to eat/drink before it loads up. Hopefully it will get better. Till it does I'll have to endure it. Better off if I had replaced the modem, (Which wasn't the problem. A intermittant signal was the problem.) The service man switched to the other two wires for the phone and now it works. Hopefully continues. So far the computer is in place, but my scope is not setup yet. I like it on my desk as I can use it while I'm down loading stuff. I guess I will have more time now for searching........ Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
