I have been looking through a friends large stash of Wheat ears and I found this one... Could not find mention of any double dies on a 55s other than the double eyelid (which this is not). I am new to dd collecting and am hoping this is not a rookie mistake. Need a second/thrid... opinion.

The reason that one isn't listed is that it is machine doubling. The flat doubling on the left of TRUST is where the die pushed the letters when striking. If you had a roll of these from the same die, you would note varying degrees of doubling to normal coins. This is because it is a machine issue not a die issue as RPMs/Doubled Dies are. Worth what copper melt would be for a normal circulated wheat Cent.
The image with the broken Nine is a die break. Happened a lot on dies from the 40's & 50's. They used the dies longer on those years to make every Cent they could and the coins look like it.

Like Coop said it's MD with a die break/chip in the 9.
Just worth what a normal wheat cent is worth.
Welcome to the forum, the photo is good too so if you post others we can give inputs

dybrn,
I seem to have a similar one with the die break.
