Well I dunno  It looks thicker than they typically do and I see what looks like split serifs in spots. Took two shots at different lighting angles.

Sandra, Looks like you have a winner on the "95". Looks like split ends on both numverals.

 So coop do you know much about Canadian cents? Is this doubled and I wonder what was the latest year for a Canadian Doubled Die to surface. Never hear anything about them, I guess there just isn't the interest there. I don't search Canadian cents this one just stood out in my pocket change.

Little to no market interest in doubled dies in Canada - in fact, many collectors even frown on them as 'flyspeck' numismatics.
Regarding your coin - I would have to know the design better to answer. I have no basis to go by when looking at one suspected coin...I've never seen a "normal" one.

Sandra, does that coin have a "P" mint mark, SE of the dual-date? If so, it was NOT made for circulation, th celebrate 50 years of the Queen's reign. The proofs do have that MM. The "95" I referred to is like a womans hair, on a "bad hair day, IE split ends"

Sandra, Perhaps I should clarify what I said in the prior post. It will be the same, but, in inglish this time. I think in Spanish, because that is all we speak, here at home. No I am not a mexican. Getting back to yiour coin, it , with a MM, "P", os a proof. The coins minted for circulation were struck without the "P". It was as I said, in celebration of the 50th year of the Queen's Reign.
The second photo looks like the coin has been "on the road' a bit.
The only reason I was able to give the info, above, is that I just received the Book of Canadian coins, and varieties, CDROM. I wanted the BOOK, but got the CD. I was looking thru it, and had stopped in the general area where the cents were, and then later tried to find it again. Sheesh!! I don't care for the "CD" version. I want the book, that way I can look for the item I want, without having to go thru the "whole cotten-picking thing".
