He here is a stunning purchase off of eBay correctly identified as an unknown class 6. Not the greatest example but so stunning. Shows extreme spread on EPU, nearly all lettering, the wheats and wheat stalks! Looks strongest on the lower right wheat. CONECA does show one for this date but with only medium spread. One just has to ask how DDR's like this one go unreported for so long!

It is a very nice example of a class 6 DDR. The 1924P example on the site I found about 6 months ago. That one had never been reported either. This is one of the primary reasons why Chuck and I say that there are still plenty of nice doubled dies to be found...even on coins over 80 years old. Congrats on a nice pick-up.

Believe it or not, somewhere in the hunreds of thousands of coins I have I know I have a class 6 reverse 1924S. I found it at a show a few years ago, and it got lost in the crowd.

I also have a nice 1921S class 6 DDR somewhere.

"How can DDR's like this go unreported for so long"? Good question, but it might be relevant to the emeghence of the variety popularity, causing so many more collectors to "check 'em again".
