I just noticed this one on a 1955 cent I have in an ICCS holder. It looks to be a clash of the portrait's neck area just over the date:

Kurt, I'll confirm that! It falls in the same general area that I have been working on foor these past many days. Good eyem and bice find! Now we know there are others. You might post it on Can. Forum, "Die clashes", or "Die clashes", story of the 12979 cent.
Dick
EDIT:
Now that I recall, the term that is un use, ayt present, for the clash, that started all this, is, or was called the "golden thread". It shows as a bright golden curve, under the chin.

Wasn't there a year that holds this same clash and it was dubbed the "boomerang"? Seems to me it was in the 60's, if my memory serves correctly...which it usually doesn't Laughing

Sandra, I don't know about that, but lately, both KurtS, and I have found other clashes. I found one today, a 1978. Same type, and place, but with less remnants. His '55 shows the remnants on the reverse. That is the first I have seen there, but I believe I have another one, except it is like the one Kurt has. I'll have to check a LOT of cents, now, bwcause I doon't remember which box of tubes it is in, nor the date! One day i'll come across it again, and I'll post it. I hadn't heard the "booerang" term before. Sounds like it would apply to the Aussie coinage.
