Thanks again Daggit for this great coin and the others too!
We've seen this before; I'm posting a new pic as I could visually confirm the Blakesely Effect on the opposing edges. If you want to see full-size, click the pic:

Nice Avatar Kurt!
Usually you can see the blakleys effect on one side of the U.S. Coins, but on your coin you can see it on both edges and the rim setup looks disturbed in other areas of the obverse also.
Nice find Sandra!

Coop--
Yes, I did note a few other irregularities but I couldn't guess at their origin.
Thanks again for the avatar...I'm sure that's going to generate some questions. For the record, I was not born in '46,

I could probably edit that to read 1949?? But that date has special meaning to the coin used.

Kurt, that is NICE! I like it.
Sandra, I got the coins this morning, along with a new MB. fully stuffed, and ready to install I'll have to post a p[hoto of the '84, just to 'dhow off. Mine won't be as pretty, nor as HUGE as the one kurt posted, but it is what it is! That 2008, is my fiest 2008 in view, and/or in hand. Thanks. Ththe quarters are great. Too bad I can't make it to Vancouver to participate in the Olympics. I'm sure I could take the blue ribbon in my class: Best BS Artist!

So were you born in Iceland?
That's a textbook clip, especially when seen on the reverse side of the coin. And you see the Blakesley effect 180 degrees away as weakness at the rim/denticles.
Nice coin you have there.

Robert--yes, it's a nice coin. Thanks to Sandra (Daggit) who out of the blue volunteered this coin. Thanks to all.
