Thanks for everyone's patience with my many questions and horrible pic's...
Is this a machine doubling? The whole profile from forehead to neck (including eye crease) is seen clearly a double stamping?
Also the letter in God are seen the same way.

Yes Tery, machine doubling is the cause of this. Normally when you see doubling in the motto (IN GOD WE TRUST), it should follow through the whole motto to be a doubled die and just not one element (GOD).

Well at least I am getting the idea how these things work! Unfortunately I'm just not finding the good stuff. I still have about a dozen more to go, 41-84 and a couple Bi-Cent. Got any advice as to what I should look for. I went to a Kennedy Ref. page.......Confusing! Some of the "markers and or varieties/errors" are so minuscule.
Thanks,
Teryble

Teryble, I've been looking for the 74-D DDO where "IN GOD WE TRUST" is clearly doubled. From what I've heard, that's a good area to look for doubling.

I have 2 1974, but no D....Sorry.
I do have a question if you might know. I have 2 1977,
Besides the obvious damage...The 7's look different. Also what do you think of the Mint Mark? RPMS??
Thanks,
Teryble

Looks like the second coin has a couple of things going on it. Looks like the first 7 in the date is grease struck and the coin suffered wrapper damage when rolled.
