An interesting possible double lid by chance ?? (depending on the angle, may look like a triple).

This very well could be another doubled eyelid for the date. It would have to be examined to verify if it is or not.

I use a Digistar stereo scope. has 10x and 30x capability. The closest images are with the 30x. There is a camera in the scope which links to computer software to load the images.
as far as the full-view image of the hole coin, I just use a Canon power shot A560, then trim the shot to capture just the coin.
Since I have to have a public hosting sight in order to include images on Coppercoins, I first upload my pics to the Yahoo Flickr site.

The images of the eyelids that look like they are doubled maybe machine doubling. On the upper lip that mark is also present. Are there the same doubling on other devices? Not saying it's not a doubled eyelid, but the doubling might need to be considered. Appreciate an update with the date and LIBERTY images.

There appears to be a little die movment on the 8 & 2 on the date. But Bob could tell more when he can examine it. But looks promising Jim.

I'm a bit "scope" happy, I guess. Tend to scan these things closer than I should with my stereo scope. Maybe I could save some headaches and eye strain by taking the advice of some seasoned pros and stick to a 7x loop. They say if you can't see a variety with that, then it's not worth the trouble.
But, heck, where would the fun be in THAT !!

While I am not ready to jump out and say this is a doubled die (eye lid), it does have some of the characteristics of such. They are not gas bubbles and some die (intentionally) abrasion has been preformed in the area. This is found on a 1994 Philadelphia minted cent.
Maybe we have not been looking in this place (the eye) for doubling and should?
