Greetings! I think this is a D/D but am having trouble pinpointing from the massive list on Coppercoins. Am I missing an easy one here?

Anyway, looks to me a D/D east, with medium vertical bar just inside primary mintmark, and also what looks like a small protrusion just outside the primary, at the upper middle area.

Here is the question. I will show several pics which also adjust the light angle to show the many striations from die polish scratches (I assume). Could what I see as a somewhat obvious D/D be simply manifestations of die scratches? I don't think so, but anything is possible, I guess. Please let me know what you think. Thanks

(p.s. my D/D characteristics seemed perhaps similar to the RPM #77 description on Coppercoins, but no pic is available to verify)

Congratulations on a very successful attribution. You nailed it as it is indeed RPM #77. You also managed to find one of the coins I had taken pictures of previously, but failed to add the pics to the database. I will do that shortly. I guess now you know what drives attributers like me and Chuck crazy when we try attribute RPMs from 1960 and 1961. Well done!

Thanks Bob! Your and Chuck's site makes it pretty easy to attribute for us rookies out here. The hunt is always fun! And in this case, the RPM #77 description even without a picture was a great help to me.

Thanks also for the "battlefield promotion". I see I have risen to Advanced Member status. Not sure I've earned it yet, but my thanks nonetheless. Champagne is on ice as we speak !! Very Happy

(p.s. check out my 55-D/D inquiry from today, as well. Curious as to your thoughts)

You got 'promoted' when you made your 100th post, so congrats on that too! You have 3 more ranks to attain, and those are at 200, 500, and 1000 posts.

Due to your post, I also managed to find another die I had taken pictures of and failed to upload to the site, and that was 1960D-1MM-085. There are more out there that I have pics of, but trying to match that list up with the 2047 dies listed on the site...might take a bit. Thanks again for the kind words and once again, congrats on your attribution.
