Anyone have any opinions on the Reverse side?
Thanks, Teryble

Can I comment on the obverse? Yours looks like an RPD in the last 1. I'd say this one is currently undocumented, as it doesn't match those in my attribution guide.

The reverse suffers from Longacre doubling.

Most doubling found on Indian head cents is a re-engraving doubling known as 'Longacre doubling', so named after the designer of the Indian head cent design. The chief ingredient (and difference from hub doubling) in this type of doubling is that it exist on most sides of each device/letter.

This form of doubling is very common on Indian Head Cents.

Dick,
The Longacre doubling is on the reverse. The area you mention looks like the normal elements, but with some flattened wear on the higher points of those devices.

Bob, thanks for the ionfo. Now, is the "doubling that is referred to that whicj I notice on the "N" on ONE. It looks wider, and then is narrow, and clear. Like the die had been polished so much that the lettering, were starting ot become indistinct, so they were re-cut,ot punched. Or so it seems.
