This one looks like 1DO-014 or 021 but the descriptions do not mention wavy steps. Maybe an EDS of one of these dies? I can't seem to get a good pic showing the wavy steps(southwest deviation). Any tips?

OCD, you just have to look at the photo, not at the steps, and you will see them! Yes, they are there, and as you said, SW about 225 degrees. Nice foto!

It does look a bit like 14 or 21.
Look close for markers.
I see some lines going to the rim from the date on yours which is also on 21 so look close for any markers. 21 also has lines like that going from near liberty L to the rim.

Neither 014 or 021 have wavy steps on them. We have a couple of possibilities here, one being that the reverse die was changed or that it is a new die all together. A wavy step would have definitely been a marker had it been on either one of the ones mentioned. The die chip in the B of LIBERTY is there on all of the examples of 021 I have, and that goes from EMDS to LDS, so I don't think it is that one. 014 had no verifiable markers for the obverse. I would have to see the coin to try and figure this one out.

I'm currently at work (good ol' 7 day swing shift), so I'll check the markers tomorrow morning.

Bob - this one may be 2006P-1DR-001 or my 2006P-1DER-003WS. That is the only wavy step die that I have with a doubled die obverse for that year.

Jeremy, Now that you mentioned it, I always loved swing, and enjoyed graveyard. I HATE days! I was born at 6 AM, and theat is reason enough to go to bed, and get some sleep, instead of getting up and go to work!

Here's some more pics. This is the only marker that I could match (1DO-001) but it doesn't show a spread on the 20 [img]
I'm posting some pics of some markers I found (not many) mainly die scratches.

Could be that one. Just there's some doubling on the date and the wavy steps are a little offset on the one I found. I don't know, probably missing something. Thanks Ed

OCD,
Just put it aside for now, and when you have a couple that you want me to have a look at, I will get to them all at one time. I am sure if I had seen some of the markers you photographed, that I would have added them to anything on the site. I also have access to BJ's wavy step files, so unless it is too minor, I might be able to match it up to one of them.
