Kurt, the roll of IHC arrived today, and I was able to use five in m,y folder. The dates, if you are interested are:'83, '87, 93, '98, '08-P. Not too bad for the price. The general run of the coins about g4-g8. Some letters are visiblein liberty, on a couple coins.. All in all, I'd say I got my money's worth. I may go that way again, after the first.

Any varieties in here, Dick? Or too worn to determine?

Dick, glad you're happy with the dates--do those 4 dates represent the whole date spread of the roll--and nothing prior to 1880?
Even in G4, many RPDs should be visible. Some of the subtler MPDs (date punches around the necklace) will be worn away.

1883 has a few RPDs and an MPD in the neck (visible in higher grades)
1887 has a very nice DDO in AMERICA and a some minor RPDs
Most other years prior to 1909 have RPDs (especially 1906-7)...if you have any you wonder about, post the pics and I'll try to correlate to a Snow #. Very Happy

Here's the 1887 Snow-1 DDO. I have found two so far unattributed.

Kurt, the dates are:
1983-1
1987-1
1991-1
1992-1
1993-5
1996-1
1998-5
1900-1
1901-6
1902-7
1903-4
1905-2
1906-1
1907-10
1908-P-2,
I haven't checked thru them carefully, yet. I spent more time putting them in the folder, than anything else. If there were any like the one you posted, (above), I'm sure I would have noticed it. For the moment, they are in flips, in a box all to themselves, (about100, or so). One is very good looking, except for hre Portrait, if you will. It looks like it might have been in a fire. No notable wear, but definite damage from heat. Just going by the G-4 values, I think I got my money's worth. If I spot anything, I'll post it for comment.
Gerry, I think you have pretty well said what the condition is! Some are pretty worn, but I expected that. Wink

That's a good spread...too bad there are no 1897s, which suggests they may have been separated out. Confused In any case, I bet you have at least one RPD in your group of 1907s. There's also a nice DDO for 1891, often overlooked (it's seen in the OF).

Some of the RPDs are subtle, but under a scope look for doubling of serifs and in particular for 1907: traces of digits in the 90 of the date. A few also have digits in the denticles--good luck! Very Happy

Kurt, I was just looking at the dates, and see that I'm off by 100 years on some of them!
Do you know of a DDO in the 1983 Can. cent? I have one, that I'll post a p[hoto of tomorrow, after I get back from the hoaspuital. Just an annual check-up. I feel very good.
I think there might be another one to check, too It came in the bunch Sandra sent with my 12-S cent. It could also be a MD, which does carry a small premium, in Canada.
On the IHC's, next month, I thimnk I'll go for another roll, just to see how they run. Meanwhile, enjoy whaat you have left of the week, and I'll do the same.
Dick
