Hi, Is this nice old coin copper? Are they common & how do ya think this grades?

Nice color! It certainly has that copper look over bronze. I just don't have a 19C. Krause to look this one up. I need to get one.
Unless someone knows for sure, probably the best way to grade would be comparing to an UNC example. Judging by the hair details, I might say F+, but I could easily be wrong.

Generally speaking those are more scarce than the earlier versions (Nap III facing left). Not sure why. Only a few years' mintages exceed 1 million.
The 1870A had a mintage of 889,000 and books (per my 1996 Krause) at $3 in F and $10 in VF. Unfortunately I'd say yours is VG. Not quite F.
Krause says the Nap III type 5 centime is bronze but doesn't say anything about the 10 centime Nap III or this type ("Third Republic"). I would assume it was bronze.
FYI Krause has the 1875A 10 centime at $175 in XF and the 1871K 10 centime at $300 in XF.
