This 1915-D has a strong bar L.
It's different than the listed DDO die-1 for 1915-D.
Then the 1929-S I found recently looks more like the listed DDO die-1 for 1915-D.
Any ideas? Are these related DDOs or are these teen bar Ls due to die wear?
I see Coneca added the one 1915-D which is very much like the 29-S. I'm wondering if these have ever been found in early die states or if the same ones have been found in different states which would show progression of die wear.
Thoughts?

Ed,
BJ Neff found the original 15D Bar L. I believe that is the one listed on CONECA. Once he found that one, subsequent searches on all earlier teen and twenties dated Lincoln's produced a lot more possible Bar L's, but none were found in an earlier die state to confirm if they were bars or not. Yours look like genuine bar L's. We still haven't determined if there was something wrong with the hubbing process during this time that these were produced. In the interim, we will list those dies that look look the real deal.

Bob,
I just fixed my image, maybe it shows better than the first one.
Note all the die wear nearby but that bar is very clear.
I'm puzzled.
But leaning toward die wear.
What do you think?
(I'll put a pic on Conecas forum so BJ can see it too since he found the other 15-D)
