after collecting coins for over 45 years, i have recently gotten re-invigorated about coins and am now going through many collected coins, looking for variations. hopefully the attached has enough resolution to determine if i have found one. looking at coppercoins.com site, can some one confirm or not if this is a documented variety. 1946S 1DO-001.
also can anyone help with the grade of this coin? thanks.

I adjusted your url, you can click quote then you can see how it looks. Another trick is if you pick the 3rd link below on photobucket it already has all of the stuff so if you just paste it then it will work.
From the pic I can't tell if it's 1DO-001, you might try getting closer on the eye.
There are many double eyelids, to tell which you have look for markers like the lines going up from the nose or near the date or on the reverse.
They used 3 types of S mintmark in 1946, (serif style, ball serif style, sans serif style). 1DO-001 has the sans serif style so you can rule some coins out by having the wrong style or wrong MM position. From what I can see in the pic yours might have the right style of MM but the MM might be slightly higher than 1DO-001 so it might be a different one. (need a closer pic to be sure)
