After finding my 1st cud recently,
I've run across this quarter. There appears to be no damage to the rim or reeding opposite to the raised area on the obverse side of coin. So is this considered a Rim cud, or just wishful thinking ?

The 84 cent is a neat little CUD, you might see a weak area on the reverse in that area.
I'm not sure about the quarter. Lets see what others say.

I'm with you, ED.
On the quarter, I wonder if it just might be "foldover"?

I feel this is a rim cud, but it not caused by a die issue. I feel a piece fell off the collar and made this and other coins after this until the collar was changed.

I have seen one, or two, but had no idea as to the cause.

The quarter does show a rim cud. Part of the rim gutter of the obverse die broke off.
