Many pics of copper coins/medals supposedly found my "detectorists" (people w/ metal detectors) in the UK. Too bad most have been "cleaned".
A good find in the US would be any coin before about 1920 but in the UK finding Roman coins is not that unusual.
They also have a silver and gold section. All kinds of cool finds!
You should also take a look at "torcs", which are a kind of ancient Celtic gold neckrings/jewelry. These are very intricately made and many weigh a few pounds. And they were made in Roman times! Amazing.
