Jack: The first image shows a 1961 and the images are marked 1960? Not seeing die doubling as far as I can see, looks like machine marks or ejection doubling. But again, I could be wrong.... Have been before.....

The site call this type of doubling "Master Die Doubling."

But on your coin it looks like the die roughed up the devices similiar to Machine doubling but not as drastic. Interesting but educational. But I could be wrong......

Thanks Coop sometimes I get letter and numbers out of place. The coin is 1961P and the CC site does say this is a Master Die Doubling. I have been going over a 40 roll lot of BU coins I got at our club meenting this past week and came up with this coin. Not much to the coin one way or the other due to it being a Master Die however interesting that it is here on CC. I have found several MM in the 1960's and the 1972 DO even if I dont know if it's 3 or 8.

Be aware that the master die doubling for 1961 can be very different on some coins. Most 61P coins show the master die doubling only on the O of GOD, but others show it on the entire motto, and on LIBERTY. I have some problems with calling some of these Master Doubling, as the difference is substantial. As of right now, they are just that.
