Heavy die scratches criss-cross in front of the throat and beard. Light E-W die scratches show in the hair and in front of the hair above the forehead. Obverse is MDS. Reverse
Light N-S die scratches show throughout the reverse. die dot shows inside the upper O in OF. A criss-cross die scratch pair forms an X that touches the lower right N of CENT, the upper T of CENT, The T of STATES, and the A of STATES.
