RPM shows as a D/D West (1944D-1MM-022). A die scratch shows over the 1 of the date. Numerous concentric doe scratches show beneath the VDB along the rim. A long pattern of encircling concentric die scratches show in most areas of the obverse. A heavy die dot shows in the field beneath the lower lip. A die scratch shows on the chin. Reverse
Numerous die scratches, mainly NW-SE, show throughout the reverse, especially around the lettering of UNITED STATES of AMERICA. A heavy die dot shows to the left of the upper curve of the first S of STATES.
