Obverse
Doubled die shows as a tripled eyelid (1944D-1DO-021). A die scratch shows over the 1 of the date. Numerous concentric doe scratches show beneath the VDB along the rim. A long pattern of encircling concentric die scratches show in most areas of the obverse. A heavy die dot shows in the field beneath the lower lip. A die scratch shows on the chin.
Reverse
Numerous die scratches, mainly NW-SE, show throughout the reverse, especially around the lettering of UNITED STATES of AMERICA. A heavy die dot shows to the left of the upper curve of the first S of STATES.

Doubling shows as an extra lower serif to the west of the primary lower serif. Die is also listed as a tripled eyelid doubled die, 1944D-1DO-021.
