A strong die gouge (dot) shows between the upper right wheat stem and the rim. Parallel N-S die scratches run from the E in the motto to between the U and N of UNITED. A long die scratch runs north from the E of STATES. Reverse is MDS.

Serif mintmark. This variety shows as a strong doubled lower serif, a moderately doubled upper serif, and an inside upper curve separation line. Similar to 1946S-1MM-021, but bolder with more separation.
