A series of deep die scratches extends northwest from the top of the 5. A pattern of concentric die scratches centered at the jaw is visible in numerous places throughout the obverse design, especially around the face and in the protected folds of the co Reverse

A myriad of die cracks shows in the hair. One old and deep die scratch points northwest from the 5 in the date. Light concentric die scratches on the jacket and cheek. Reverse is MDS Reverse
Reverse die changed. A large die dot shows in the lower E in ONE. Die dot next to T in CENT. Short SE die scratch from lower first A in AMERICA.
