Numerous die scratches run N-S on the obverse including those through the 1 and 9 of the date. Short E/W die scratch connects 19 in date. SW die scratch under LIBERTY. E/W die scratches from front of face. Reverse is MDS Reverse
A strong die scratch below the STA of STATES. Heave SE die scratch under AME in AMERICA. Numerous other die scratches throughout the reverse including many fine scratches below the memorial base. Reverse is MDS.

Large date. Yet another lower east hook variety, this one can be distinguished from the others in that the vertical line, running through the center of the primary mintmark, is split at the top making a Y shape.
